Our Training Division provides a range of practical and e-learning courses to various sectors throughout the UK.

The bespoke training packages we provide ensure that the range of courses offered meet both mandatory and client specific training requirements. Whether you have just one member of staff requiring training or your whole staff team, we have a range of options available to suit.

The addition of our e-learning courses enables individuals to continue their CPD at a time to suit them. Courses can be accessed immediately meaning that unexpected learning needs can also be addressed without delay.

Practical learning

A range of practical courses such as Manual Handling, BLS and Safeguarding are provided at our training suites in Bicester or Aylesbury or at your premises. Sessions are either half day (per topic) or a full day covering two, for groups of up to ten delegates.

Full day update courses, covering all mandatory subjects as required within the Health & Social Care sector, are run weekly. Clients find these useful as part of their new staff induction programmes, as they can be accessed quickly and at minimal cost when the individual starts. Our one-on-one tutor led interactive online training provides a cost-effective solution to ensure that all staff remain up to date in mandatory and specialist topics. Courses can be quickly accessed by your staff in response to a service user’s requirements and staff’s own CPD.

Each course goes at precisely the pace required by the individual. It provides an opportunity to go over the learning content as often as required so every employee gets the optimum learning experience that’ll be retained and applied to keep your service safe and compliant.

Infection Control

Infection prevention and control measures aim to ensure the protection of those who might be vulnerable to acquiring an infection…. Ok but why is this important?

Well every year at least 300,000 people develop a Health Care Associated Infection. This has a huge impact on the patient, the staff and the institution it occurs in. Whereas if there is good infection prevention and control, patients will have better health and more independence.

Understanding your Role in Care

Social care is the provision of social work, personal care, protection or social support services to children or adults in need, or at risk, or adults with needs arising from illness, disability, old age or poverty.

Dementia Awareness

Dementia is used to describe the symptoms that occur when the brain is affected by specific diseases and conditions. Dementia is a chronic progressive problem of cognition – which is failure of the brain’s functions. IT affects people at different stages of life, it affects different parts of the brain and it affects it at different speeds.

Mental Health Awareness

Positive Handling in Schools

Positive Handling is a very serious subject. Knowing when and how to act in a difficult situation can be the difference between a positive outcome and a potentially career ending prosecution.

This course will start by looking at some examples and statistics which highlight the seriousness and extent of aggressive pupil behaviour, it will then go on to explain how you can identify the stages of aggression and provide some tips on how you could de-escalate a pupil before they lash out.
