Job description

Our client, an outstanding rated CQC care home just outside Banbury, are recruiting a Staff Nurse to join their dedicated and amazing care and nursing team.

Caring for adults over the age of 65, you will have overall responsibility for ensuing the smooth running, management and supervision for your shift as nurse in charge, working with the team leaders, senior carers, care assistants and other ancillary departments.

This is a permanent full time position covering day or night shifts.

Main responsibilities:-

  • To comply with and adhere to the NMC code of Conduct
  • To assume responsibility for the ongoing care of clients and maintain the daily routine
  • To have knowledge of and be able to use any equipment within the home
  • To respond to the spiritual, emotional, physical needs of the residents
  • To liaise with clients, staff, GP’s and other multi-disciplinary team member to promote good care
  • To arrange appointment and meetings on behalf of residents and ensure appropriate arrangement are in place and documented for matters such as named escorts, transport reference numbers, copies of appointment letters etc.
  • To ensure nursing duties and responsibilities are completed or followed up for your shift.
  • To act as named nurse for residents and support their key worker in planning, implementing and evaluating the care of such residents.
  • To review the care plans and risk assessment at least monthly or as required due to changes in the condition of residents
  • To organise and arrange the admission, transfer and discharge of any resident.
  • To oversee staff documentation and staff performance during each shift
  • To highlight any concerns or issues regarding staff performance with the relevant manager or director

Salary £20.00 per hour
