Job description

We are excited to be recruiting for our client the role of Clinical Technical Consultant within their Pain Therapies team.  

The role is responsible for managing technical support and promotion of Intrathecal Drug Delivery (ITDD) and Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) therapies within the field. You must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, be a self-starter and have a proactive, positive can-do attitude as part of the team.

The Clinical Technical Consultant needs to be able to develop strong relationships with customers, providing onsite technical support, in clinical settings.  Experience of working within a theatre setting or having theatre etiquette would be advantageous.  The role will involve liaising between customers which include consultant’s, nurses and patients themselves as well as cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our client’s service and product solutions.  This need to be achieved according to needs whilst improving the entire patient and customer outcome and experience. 

The successful candidate will be required to work in line with their business needs to grow their market share whilst ensuring optimum therapy outcomes for patients.

This role will be home based, ideally within the Midlands and you must be able to travel to various sites nationwide but which primarily include the North West and East Anglia.

This position is initially for 1 year with the potential of this leading to a permanent position. The post is full time with a salary of £320 to £350 per day plus expenses.  You will also be supplied with a mobile and laptop and full in depth training.

The ideal Clinical Technical Consultant candidate will be:

  • Self-starter, with a positive can do attitude and is a team player.
  • Preferred healthcare related experience, ideally neuro, with a commercial mindset.
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and Influencing skills
  • Driving licence
  • Local language(s) and business English

In addition, ideally the Clinical Technical Consultant should have:

  • Knowledge of theatre etiquette and wider hospital policies relating to interaction with industry representatives
  • Experience in clinical or technical interaction with healthcare professionals and patient
