Information for Agency Workers
We would like to give you more information about the Agency Worker Regulations (AWR) which came into force in the United Kingdom from 1st October 2011. The AWR will accord “equal treatment” to Agency Workers in terms of basic employment and working conditions.
The Regulations apply to temporary workers who are engaged via recruitment agencies.
Paterson Health and Social Care have invested heavily in new systems to ensure the necessary evaluations and assessments of basic working and employment conditions are being completed for all our Agency Workers / contractors in line with the regulations coming into force.
Paterson Health and Social Care are committed to adhering to all regulations and requirements for Agency Workers and providing a positive working environment. From 1st October 2011, all Agency Workers/contractors should have access to shared facilities such as restrooms, canteens or similar facilities; staff rooms etc. (depending on facilities available and qualifying policies at their work location).
For more information regarding the services available at your particular location, please refer to your line manager or call your local branch.
As a Temporary Worker you will also be entitled to access information relating to job vacancies at your work placement.
No further action is required from you at this stage. We will remain in contact with you as any additional changes are assessed and confirmed. If you have additional adjustments which need to be made to your pay and conditions as a result of the Agency Worker Regulations, you will be notified directly by us.
